🛠️ How to Configure Your Tasker FCM Hub
Welcome to the Tasker FCM Remote Trigger! This HTML file allows you to trigger Tasker tasks on your Android device directly from any web browser.
Here is everything you need to know to configure it for your own device.
1. Authentication & Connection
To make this work, the script needs your Firebase credentials and your specific device token. Open the HTML file in a text editor and scroll down to Step 3 (Authentication & FCM Setup). You need to fill in three variables:
deviceToken: The FCM token generated by Tasker on your phone.
serviceAccountData: The contents of your Firebase service-account.json. Important: Paste it as a JavaScript object (without quotes around the whole block), not as a raw string.
googleServicesData: The contents of your Firebase google-services.json. Paste it as a JavaScript object as well.
2. General Configuration
At the top of the script (under Step 0), you will find:
deviceName: Change this to the name of the device you are using to send the commands (e.g., "My Work PC", "iPad"). This helps you identify where the trigger came from in Tasker.
3. Customizing Tasks (taskConfig)
The interface is built dynamically using the taskConfig array. You can add, remove, or modify categories and tasks here.
taskerTaskName: This must exactly match the name of the Task in your Tasker app.
taskMessage: This is an optional dynamic message. It can be a simple string (e.g., "Flashlight toggled") or a function that reads the inputs (e.g., (p) => "Sent SMS to " + p["%name"]).
inputs: The form fields. Every input needs a varName (e.g., %text).
4. What Tasker Receives (The Payload)
When you click "Send to Tasker", the script packages your inputs into a JSON payload and sends it via Firebase. Your Task in Tasker will receive the following variables automatically:
%task: (Always sent) The name of the task you triggered.
%device: (Always sent) The name you configured in Step 0.
%taskmessage: (Optional) The dynamic summary text configured in taskMessage.
Custom Variables: Any variable you defined in the inputs array (e.g., %number, %message, %level, %clipb).
Tip in Tasker: You can use these variables directly in your Tasker actions (e.g., use %number in the "Send SMS" action, or flash %taskmessage to show a confirmation on your phone).
5. Use it EVERYWHERE: U can use from a computer, from antoher device and u can open it by browser or AutoTools's HTML Action
