I plan to temporarily halt the release of new versions and beta versions of ZeroStudio.
I also intend to stop updating or adding new features.
I have been busy with other work recently. Additionally, I plan to migrate the entire ZeroStudio project from the traditional AndroidView XML to Jetpack Compose source code.
Then, I will redo the editor interface, and migrate the side drawer of the editor interface from registered fragment pages to lifecycle-free Jetpack Compose screens.
There will likely be a significant amount of structural/architectural adjustments needed.
In short, I intend to deeply adjust, optimize, and repair the entire project, fixing incomplete or imperfect parts, bugs, and legacy issues. This includes removing redundant project content and code, improving defects, and addressing various known issues.
This may require adjusting many architectures/structures and source code compositions. Furthermore, the activity lifecycle and threading, etc., set up by the original author when developing this project are too redundant and complex, and the inheritance relationships are complicated, all of which need to be adjusted.
I want to discard the old thread subscription event source code and migrate to more professional, higher-performance, more efficient, and faster thread subscription event libraries like Flow.
Additionally, I want to completely abandon the Sora editor as the core code editor and plan to switch to
https://github.com/FinalScave/SweetEditor
Or perhaps have both editor cores coexist with a toggle in the settings page. 😂
This pause will last for a long time, likely until next year.
