they still work, well, did, and i don't believe that's where they failed, but i didn't check after the pop

      Diode test. It should be conductive in a certain number of ways and when testing the same with the polarity switched, it should not conduct. I.E: A to B and B to C, but not C to B or B to A

If you pulled traces off your previous repair, not a biggie. Just make sure that everything is mechanically stable with the new components in.

also there might be more damage because i was stupid and put another fuse in so i could see what was smoking/sparking
